Business Plan

Our Business Plan is an action plan for the Authority which contains elements of the Lake District National Park Partnership’s Plan (our statutory management plan) that we either lead on or have substantial input to, as well as other key actions related to managing the National Park Authority and its statutory duties. It does not include all the work we deliver.

Our Business Plan runs from 1 April to 31 March and is reviewed and updated every year.

The Business Plan includes our Organisational Strategy in which we identify our key priorities, as well as the values and behaviours which are central to the way we work.

Alongside the Business Plan, we have a corporate Risk Register which shows the key risks to delivery of the Business Plan (‘Business Plan risks’) and to the Authority (‘corporate risks’) and explains how we are managing those risks.

We use a range of indicators to measure our performance in delivering the Business Plan. A quarterly Performance and Risk Monitoring report is reviewed by members at the Authority Committee.
