Partnership Plan

This is a joint Management Plan for the Lake District – reflecting its position as a National Park and a World Heritage Site.

Local Plan

The Local Plan 2020 to 2035 sets out the strategy for all new development in the Lake District.

State of the Park Report

The State of the Park Report is a comprehensive assessment of the Lake District’s current condition to highlight the successes and vulnerabilities that lie within this special landscape.

Design Code

The Design Code as a Supplementary Planning Document, setting out a number of design specifications for new developments in the Lake District.

Planning policy

Our local planning policies are the starting point to determine all planning applications for proposed development within the National Park. This includes Neighbourhood Plans, Supplementary Planning Documents and whole estate plans.
