Our Rangers play a huge part in maintaining, conserving and enhancing the Lake District National Park for everyone to enjoy. They cover a huge variety of roles, from repairing gates and footpaths, improving habitats for rare species and helping keep our visitors safe, along with so much more.

In addition to their practical work, our Rangers also play a huge role in engaging with communities and teaching the next generations the importance of caring for this unique landscape. So if you see them out and about, don’t be a stranger and say hello to a National Park Ranger.
