Getting there: Pooley Bridge has regular buses from Penrith all year round and from Keswick and surrounding villages from Easter to October. Visit Explore Ullswater for more details.

Linking to the Ullswater Way this walk follows quiet lanes and footpaths, passing the pre-Roman hillfort of Dunmallard, the banks of the river Eamont to Dalemain House and Gardens and the historic village of Dacre with its Norman church and four stone bears.
