Since 1996 Howard has been the Director of John Ruskin’s former home & estate, Brantwood, on the shores of Coniston Water. He was previously Director of Development at the Royal College of Art. He has had numerous involvements in the arts, heritage, and education. His qualifications include MA (Oxon) FRGS, FRSA, Companion, Guild of St George.
Howard participated in drafting the Outstanding Universal Value submission for the English Lake District World Heritage Site, followed by membership of the Lake District’s Technical Advisory Group. He is responsible for the management and operations of an important Lake District cultural heritage visitor attraction.
