Occupation Lane, Broughton West Parish- Modification of definitive map to add two bridleways 520070 & 520071
On 25 February 2026 The Secretary of State confirmed Orders which have modified the definitive map and statement by adding two sections of bridleway along Occupation Lane between Station Road in Broughton (SD 2122 8742), and Bush Green on the A595 (SD 2091 8664). The short northern section has a modified width of 3 metres.

Footpath 418036, Main Street to Foreshore, Ravenglass, Muncaster Parish
Modify the definitive map and statement by amending the recorded definitive line of the footpath from Main Street at SD 0841 9637 west-northwestwards alongside Spindrift (cottage) to the foreshore at SD 0837 9638, and updating the associated particulars within the definitive statement
The objection and notification period is from 6 February 2026 to 18 March 2026.
Footpath 409052/419049, Gaterigghow Bridge to Hollins Bridge along the River Irt, Parishes of Gosforth and Wasdale, Cumberland
On 11 December 2025 the Secretary of State confirmed the above order to adding a footpath alongside (and across) the River Irt from Gaterigghow Bridge at NY 107 041 to near Hollins Bridge at NY 104 029, as shown on the order plan. There is currently no bridge across the River Irt, and we will be working with various parties on this issue.
