Assistant Director of Sustainable Development

Hanna, a qualified Planner, joined the Lake District National Park Authority in late 2016 as Team Leader within the Strategy and Partnerships Service. Since then, she has progressed to Head of Strategy and Rangers, a role in which she deepened her expertise by working closely with the ranger teams.

In 2025, Hanna was promoted to Assistant Director of Sustainable Development, where she now supports the Director of Sustainable Development in managing the Lake District National Park Partnership. She also provides strategic leadership, particularly in the development of the Local Plan. Hanna represents the Authority across a range of networks at international, national, and local levels.
