The section from High Parkamoor to High Nibthwaite (grid references SD 309926 to SD 294897) is a public road and has presumed rights for mechanically propelled vehicles. You can only access this route from High Nibthwaite to Parkamoor and then have to turn round and drive back the way you came. There is no MPV access beyond the junction with bridleway at Parkamoor.
The Order was made by Cumbria County Council, and can be activated by the Westmorland & Furness Council. However, we are advised by Westmorland & Furness Council that as this TRO has not been activated for many years, it would likely require consultation with stakeholder and interested parties before bringing it into effect again - and possibly a new or revised TRO. Please direct any equiries to Westmorland & Furness Council.
