Ullswater Information Centre

Pop in and let us help you plan your perfect adventure.

The Lake District National Park's Information Centre in Glenridding, has local products, guides and advice from our friendly team on the local area around Ullswater and the rest of the Lake District National Park. We're next to the large visitor car park in Glenridding, on the West shore of the lake.

Bus route 508, operated by Stagecoach, runs from Penrith, with connections at the railway station to Pooley Bridge, Glenridding and Patterdale all year round, extending over Kirkstone Pass to Windermere and Bowness in summer. The bus stop in the car park, is just 100 yards from the information centre.

Ullswater Steamers run the scenic length of the lake from Pooley Bridge to Glenridding Pier (which is 100m from the information centre) all year round, with drop-off points at How Town and Aira Force.
