Copeland Borough Council received an application from Millom-Without Parish Council in 2012 for the designation of a neighbourhood area covering Millom-Without Parish. This includes areas within and outside the Lake District National Park boundary. Both Copeland Borough Council and the Lake District National Park Authority have advertised, and formally approved, the proposed area.
