Site requirements:

  • A Heritage, Design and Access Statement and a World Heritage Site Checklist.
  • The scale, design, and layout of development will be key considerations particularly with reference to the neighbouring residential properties and surrounding vernacular.
  • Development of adequate access arrangement with necessary visibility splays onto B5220 if access is not taken through the adjacent housing development.
  • Development should have regard to the historical form of the settlement and an archaeological desk top assessment will be required.
  • A tree constraints plan is required showing the trees to be retained along the western boundary and any necessary additional planting.
  • Surface water drainage strategy is required which demonstrates that development incorporates SUDS.
  • Development will need to include a strong boundary along the northern edge of the site. This should reflect boundary features common to the landscape, including hedges and stone walls.
