Brockhole team on stage to receive award

The Lake District National Park Authority’s Visitor centre – Brockhole on Windermere – was last night awarded the prestigious Cumbria Life Readers’ Choice Awards in the best Large Tourist Attraction category.

Sam Mason, General Manager of the Brockhole on Windermere site said: “We were delighted to be presented with the Cumbria Readers’ Choice Best Large Tourist Attraction in Cumbria Award.

“So much has been transformed at Brockhole over the past five years that it is difficult to single out a highlight, with massive increases in customer satisfaction, brand new activities and events, a whole new catering and retail offer and considerable growth in our education and engagement work, plus the creation of a gallery, an exhibition and loads of restoration work in the formal gardens and conservation work in our natural priority habitats.

“I’d like to thank each and every one of the Brockhole team and everyone who has played their part in helping to support the transformation.”

The Brockhole team is gearing up for their biggest and best Halloween Experience yet. The Monsters’ Masquerade Event is running from 20-31 October 2022 and will include more monsters, more activities and more fearsome fun than ever before. Tickets are on sale now.
