We are continuing to assess the impact of the flooding on the national park and at this time safety remains our leading priority.
As part of the countywide recovery programme, our rangers are beginning to visit areas and log the damage caused to access across the park. As more information becomes available this week, we will issue information about which routes are affected.
We appreciate the offers of support from members of the public and once we have a clearer plan in place, we will share further information of how people can help.
Our tourist information centres (TICs) at Keswick and Bowness remain closed today and damage caused to Ullswater TIC means it will be closed for the foreseeable future.
Coniston Boating Centre is open, with limited services, and Brockhole is open.
