Our head office is fully accessible and has plenty of convenient parking including charging for electric vehicles.

Please be warned, our car park is also home to a group of friendly rabbits. Please proceed with great care.

We encourage people to travel sustainably. Our nearest railway station is Oxenholme which is only a 15 minute walk away or only three minutes by taxi.

Contact the planning team

Our team work across multiple offices, remotely, and out in the national park. Please do not travel to our offices without appointment - you are likely to be disappointed and unable to meet a team member.

There is a duty planner available Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 12:00pm for general telephone advice, call 01539 724555.

How to comment on a planning application:

Please send your comments to planning@lakedistrict.gov.uk quoting the application reference number.

How to report a compliance concern:

If you think a breach of planning control is taking place, please email planning@lakedistrict.gov.uk with address of the site (and a location plan if possible), the alleged breach, when it occurred and whether it is continuing, and the name of the owner or person undertaking the activity (if possible).

We will continue to take enforcement action when it is in the public interest, although many new investigations will take significantly longer than usual at the moment. Find out more about compliance and enforcement.

How to get copies of documents:

All documents for all applications from 2011 onwards can be found on our website using the planning application search.

You can view documents for free at Murley Moss. This is by appointment only. Please phone 01539 724555

We can find and provide copies of documents for you, charges may apply. Please email planning@lakedistrict.gov.uk and we will tell you how long the search will take and what the charges are.
